DATAROCK

Never fear, Norwegian duo DATAROCK are here to funk up your Friday. Originally released in 2005, their LP DATAROCK DATAROCK will hit U.S. retail outlets on June 12 via NETTWERK.

Actually, the U.S. version is a bit different than the European one -- adding some songs and subtracting the rather unfortunately titled "Night Flight to Uranus." Single "Fa-Fa-Fa" is a hyperbolic hash of TALKING HEADS, ELECTRIC SIX, and RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS (as highly grounded by STEVIE WONDER, if you know what I mean). "The New Song," by contrast, is a pithy little piss-taker by way of SEX PISTOLS (if Sex Pistols had been a new-wave band).
