FABIENNE DELSOL/THE BRISTOLS

A lot of things have been coming up "French" around here lately. There was the recent mix, NUREMBERG 1948 -> PARIS 1968. French First Lady CARLA BRUNI made an appearance. We heard from a pop outfit called CLOETTA PARIS. And, of course, we spotlighted THE DOORS, whose lead singer bit the big one in... that's right... Paris. So... what could possibly be next?

Why, FABIENNE DELSOL, that's what (who). Ms. Delsol is originally from France but relocated herself to Great Britain some ten or so years ago. There, she was the lead singer for the short-lived garage band THE BRISTOLS. More recently, she's been singing solo, releasing the LP BETWEEN YOU AND ME back in 2007. Those of you awaiting the new APRIL MARCH record could do worse than to download today's '60s-styled, garage-y, ye-ye treats....

That's a killer voice. French and Brittish accents both really do it for me -and here we have the twofer. Don't get me started, lol.
